Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

Super Bored.

November 29, 2008

Not much going on at our house.  Yesterday we didn’t do a thing.  We didn’t even leave the house.  Well, actually we did go for a walk last night.  I have just been cleaning cleaning cleaning.  Organizing, pulling things out and putting them back.  Watching the Dog Whisperer. (Greg’s secret favorite)  No shopping.  We might go today, I just don’t feel like it.  I have realized that now when I am bored I want to ear.  But I really can’t eat to much or I get very uncomfortable.  What’s a girl to do.  Can you tell how bored I am?

Thanksgiving

November 28, 2008

So much to be thankful for….

We got up about 9 on Thursday and got ready to go.  I made a corn casserole and we put the house back together since the wax was dry.  We headed over to my Aunts house and were one of the first there!  We visited for a while, made a family picture, and ate dinner.  It was so good.  MAN I would eat like that everyday if I could!

Dahler Family

We left there about 3:30 and headed to Greg’s parents house.   It was awesome to see all of his family, especially the people we don’t see as ofter, Rickey, Susan, Clarke and Claire (From MS), and Michael home from Florida.  Dinner was yummy, and Mary and Glen’s house looked awesome as always.  Mary get creative (surprise) and made the cutest placemats.  The "kids table" had customized turkeys… I hope Greg got a picture!

I wanted to help clean up, hoping walking around the kitchen and being on my feet would put me into labor.  :)

It didn’t.

But we left shortly after that, I was pretty tired, and I was driving home! :)   Came home and immediately fell asleep, it was only about 8:30.   Greg woke up about 1 and that meant I was up too….  I had a bad nights sleep, I kept tossing and turning.  Can’t get comfortable anymore….  And to think, I could have two more weeks of this!  To be honest, I am ready for the baby to come so I don’t have to go back to work!  Haha.

Something I thought of… You know how people say "The baby will come when it’s ready."  That really isn’t true.  The baby comes when MY BODY says it is time, because if the baby didn’t come until it was fully developed there would be no premature babies.  Know what I mean?  I wonder if going into labor is at all a mental thing….  I am going to envision contractions… hahaha

Shhh don’t tell her…

I had a doctor appointment on Wednesday.  The baby really had not been moving al day, and when the nurse asked about movement, I told her.  SOOO they hooked me up to a NST (Non stess test) to check the babies heart hate and UA (uterine activity).  This was done by the head nurse (That will be important later)  It took us a little while to figure out the UA, but it was going from 0-1.  The heart rate was neat to watch, for about 15 minutes…. We weregetting REALLY bored after a while….  The nurse came back in and said… OH you aren’t even CLOSE to having this baby….  (looking at the UA)  I was like…. ooooookay……

Well, the midwife comes in, and says that the baby looked fine activity wise but she looked at the UA belt and flipped it over….  HAHA they had put it on upside down.  She said "SHHHH don’t tell her."  I was thinking… UH YEA we should!

Anyway…. after they flipped it the right way, you could see I was having some slight contractions.  One thing I noticed was that the babies heart rate and movement increased when I was having UA.  So that was cool.

The midwife we saw was one of my favorites and she was really positive.  It got Greg and I really excited!   Only 7 more days!

We went to dinner with Greg’s family and Lisha Buddy & Lauren.  After, we went home and cleaned the ENTIRE house….  well except the office.  The biggest thing we did was move ALL THE FURNITURE and wax the floors.  I was having some definite aches and pains in my midsection, but nothing that ever amounted to anything.

Very Lucky Girl!-UPDATED

November 26, 2008

Okay, please don’t take this the wrong way.  I am going to brag here, but not because of what it is, but what he did.  My husband is ridiculously awesome.

We have been looking at cameras for about a month now.  I have a nice Canon that is only about a year old that works great- but I wanted a "professional camera"  The kind with an obnoxious papparazzi style lense that you picture the soccer mom having, banging it up against the fence as she screams for her kid.  You get the picture?? hahaha

We have been looking at Circuit City, because they are closing all their GA stores.  We liked the Nikon the best but boy, were the expensive.  We decided to wait and see if they would lower the price anymore.

Okay.  Greg and I are not very alike on most things.  But it works for us.  One thing we are VERY alike on is that giving gifts is VERY hard.  What I mean by that is that as soon as I buy something for someone, ESPECIALLY Christmas, It could be Oct 13 and I want to throw it in their lap and say "ISN’T IT AWESOME!" and squeal right along with them.  I HATE to wait to give a gift.  Greg is the same way.  He said yesterday, "This is my first surprise"  Which, after I thought about it wasn’t true, he did surprise me with my wedding gift (I had no idea he even remembered I had mentioned I wanted a Hawaiian wedding ring) and he also surprised me by going on our Family Vacation this summer when we thought he couldn’t get off work.

Anyway, when I got in the car yesterday, I went to put my purse on the back seat like I always do and he FREAKED OUT!  Don’t look back there!! hahahaha

He made me turn and look out the window as pulled out this:

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Some people talk about giving their wife a "baby gift"  I was worried Greg would get me jewelry or something I didn’t really need.  Or heck, he could have counted the Coach Baby Bag… but this was awesome!

He didn’t stop there!  He got an extra battery, a ridiculously large memory card and a REMOTE!  HAHA I can put the camera on a tripod and push a button to take pictures!  CRAZY RIGHT?!

I was in such shock, I really didn’t say much, and I think Greg was worried I didn’t like it.  But honey, it is awesome, just like you.  I love you, and I can’t wait to take pictures of you and the baby!!

….now all we need is a baby….

My friend from work, Megan sent me some pictures comparing a normal digital camera to a nikon. :)

Should I go in?

As most of you know, Greg and I carpool.  The past two mornings I have been thinking to myself "Should I go in" when Greg is dropping me off.  He keeps trying to talk me into going to my parents for a while and getting some more sleep, but I just can’t justify taking the time off.  I would rather have it with my baby!! :)

But seriously, why is it that it is so hard to sleep when you are supposed to, but when you aren’t, you could fall asleep as soon as you close your eyes?

Greg keeps asking…  literally… ALL THE TIME… "when is my baby coming?"

Sometime in the next 16 days my dear….. :)

Pictures as promised!!!!

Old People Part II

To follow up with the last Old People post, no she was not Indian.  She was very white and very Grandma.  It was awesome.

Today is my mom’s birthday (39!) haha…. and we went to a Mexican joint.  It was good, but I am still tasting it if you know what I mean.  This baby is going to have hair I think, my reflux has been kinda bad.

Anyway, Gramma and Grampa joined us and they drove me back to work because it was on the way.  My Gramma saw a "dude" walking down the road with his homie.  Gramma said "Look at his pants, he looks ASSANINE!"

Grampa said…. "No that’s ass-of-his"

HAHA… I can’t wait to be older and get away with saying whatever you want.  It’s so funny when people lose their filter!! hee hee hee

What happened?

November 24, 2008

I was having blogging issues over the weekend… I couldn’t get my page to load- so I started a Blogspot account.  It is a little fancier… and I am not quite ready to switch over yet.  But, if you can’t access the blog for a few days, try www.copponex.blogspot.com

We had a fun weekend.  Sarah came over last week to help finish up the porch.  They got a good bit painted, but it is still not completely done.  I am so proud of Greg and his dad, they did a great job.

Chelsie came over Friday night and that was so nice.  It is great to have company come over, so it’s not just Greg and I, waiting for me to go into labor!! haha  Chelsie said "I’m going to laugh you into labor!!"  Well… you can see how that turned out… but she definitely did make me laugh a lot.  You can not be in a bad mood around Sarah and Chelsie.  GAH I just love them to peices.

Kissy Belly

Saturday we woke up early (SATURDAY HAS A MORNING?!) and Greg made the girls a Waffle House breakfast.  We got ready for the day and made our offerings for the feast… baked Macaroni & Cheese and Corn Cassarole (both recipies doubled!)

Headed over to Mom & Dad’s and visited with the fam.  I ate WAY  WAY to much, I got very uncomfortable…  I went to lay down and everyone followed me!! hahahaha  The baby put on a show for everyone (Christian’s face was priceless when it kicked her)  We left there and went to the Copponex’s for dinner (more food?!)  The whole ride there, I was feeling "funny" about every ten minutes.  When I got to their house, I laid down and whatever it was stopped.  I was still pretty uncomfortable, and kinda out of it.  Went home, took a bath and hit the hay around 10.

Sunday… we didn’t wake up until 12!  Like… 12 noon.  I couldn’t believe it.  I slept so well, it was great.  We cleaned the house, and watched some football.  We were both getting so bored, so we went to Lowe’s and got our tree!  I will post pictures tonight.  It is so beautiful!  Greg is an excellent tree picker.  We also bought a cabinet for the babies room, so now… once he finished painting the other rocking chair the room is done… and there will be more pictures!!! HAHAHAHA

I am having a lot of Braxton hicks contractions.  Greg can’t keep his hands off my belly.  If I had a dime for everytime he said "When is it coming"  "How are you feeling" or "Where are you going" I would be a rich woman.  He is so excited he can hardly stand it.  I am going back and forth, with just getting it over with, and not feeling as big as a house, and with how BAD it will HURT.  And it hurts…  i just have no idea….

waahhhhhhhh

Old People

November 21, 2008

Haha… Okay.

I pulled into the parking lot this morning and a lady was parked next to me.   I thought she was probably in her 60’s.  I did a double take.  GRANNY HAD A NOSE RING.  For real.  She is in a 50K car, dressed to the 9’s and had a diamond stud in her nose.

And then there is this:

Enjoy :)

Doctor Doctor, gimmie the news…

I slept for a LONG time today… and I can’t believe I am still tired!

I went to the doc about 2:30.  Literally, I was in and out in ten minutes… Greg was like…. aghhhhh!  I feel like more should have happened!  Blood pressure, weight and urine were good.  My fundal height is now 37, up 3 cm from last week!!!!  I KNEW my stomach had grown!  Only one pair of pants fits me now…  I guess I will have to wear a dress to work from now on!

It was so nice to just take it easy today.  Even on the weekends, we are always doing something.  I have just been snuggling with my babies… all three of them… today :)

I had not effaced or dialated anymore, but really… none of that matters.  You can go from 0-10 in mere hours, it all depends on your body.  It is SO HARD to be in this waiting game.  I could go into labor in the next SECOND, or in the next 3 weeks.  That is a pretty long time.  I mean, not in the long run, but when you are just siting around WAITING for it to happen, it is like a watched pot that won’t boil!  I have read a lot of places to let your hair and house get dirty and the baby will come!! hahahaha

I seriously have to find my camera tonight, it is making me so anxious!  I can see Greg now, running into Circuit City with me in labor to buy the camera we have been waiting to go evenmore on sale on the way to the hospital…  Ha well it would make for a good story.
