Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

Oh what a difference a day makes

July 30, 2008

Yes folks, I am MUUUUUCH better today.  I had the outback special with a ceasar salad for dinner and it was very yummy!

Monday was so cool!  I wish I had felt better, but I don’t know if I could have anjoyed it any more.  It still doesn’t really feel real yet.  I think it will feel real when I am actually holding the baby…. but for now it just seems so far away!

On the way home, Greg seemed a little more motivated to do things before the baby gets here (yay!)  He wanted to talk about names, but all I wanted to do was throw up… immediately. haha

So far, we like Caroline.  That’s it.  Only name we agree on so far.  I said Caroline Rose from the beginning, and I am still holding out hope, but I am not holding my breath by any means.  Possibly, Caroline Marie.  Or Caroline Anne.  Greg likes Caroline Elizabeth(too long!)

Boys names, we liked Caleb, but we have stopped talking about it.  I think we both think it is a girl!  There is always the original name we liked, Trey,(Glen Gregory Copponex III)

Did I really just throw up during my ultrasound?

July 29, 2008

Ohhh man.  Big Canoe was fun, but I got the stomach flu, as did Chelsie, my mom, my dad, greg and auntie julie and I.  Sarah…. you are next!

I had my ultrasound yesterday morning and I was drinking a lot of water to have a full bladder.  It all came up about 1/4 through the exam.  niiiiiiice.

so far I have thrown up 9 times and I will spare you all the details.

I am at work now but this is not going to last long I feel like I am slowly sinking into death.

The pictures from the ultrasound are very cool, will post soon!

Going to Big Canoe

July 25, 2008

This weekend we have a Dahler Family Reunion at Big Canoe!  It will be a lot of fun… I hope we have good weather!

We are shipping off our college bound kids (Tyler, Jennifer and Sarah) with some fun back to school gifts, and it is also Shonna’s (Angela’s friend from Texas we went tubing with last weekend) birthday!

Elizabeth just called and told us that the doctor broke her water about 8:30!!!!!!!  Elle Marie will be born in the next 24 hours!!!!  We are so exicted, I can’t wait to meet her!

Looking back

July 23, 2008

I can not believe how different the 2nd trimester is than the 1st!  This is DEFINITELY much better! :)   I am so glad I am not so tired and sick!  I am having trouble sleeping, but nothing is perfect!

I am starting to put on the pounds!  It could be that I ate at Carrabbas last night (ha) but as of this morning I have gained 8 pounds!

Nobody puts Molly through a window…

July 21, 2008

Let me explain…… hahaha I can’t stop laughing as I type this!

Molly had an upset stomach Saturday night and wanted to go out a LOT!  I was so tired, and we had people sleeping on the couch so I felt really bad walking through so much.  So finally I thought, I am just going to let her out through the window! (It is about a 1.5 foot drop into a fenced in back yard)  I tried a few times, and I thought she was tensing up, come to find out…..  WE HAVE SCREENS ON OUR WINDOWS.  HAHAHAHA

I woke Greg up I was laughing so hard.  Sorry Molly…… mommy had a blond moment.

20 Weeks!

July 18, 2008

Monday I had another Dr. appointment!  Again, it was the same old, just asking questions.  I declined the "quad screen"  It was a blood test and I don’t exactly remember what it looked for.  I would never terminate a pregnancy anyway, so even if there is something wrong this is a child of God and I know he is knitting the baby in my womb as we speak!

Tuesday Ashley and I went to the Flying Machine for dinner, and it was so good!  We are taking a girlfriend today for her birthday!

Thursday I turned 20 weeks, 1/2 way!  Now the baby is measured from head to toe instead of head to bottom, and it is 10 1/2 inches! (The size of a banana)  Wednesday night I saw my stomach move for the first time when the baby was kicking (or punching) me.  It was very cool, it was sleepy thursday night so not much activity, but I have heard that is normal.  I can’t wait for Greg to see it! (He was out of town)

We are going to go pick our paint colors and call the painter to come and finish up the rest of the house!  I am so excited!  By the end of August a lot will be done in the room.  Sarah is taking the furniture in the babies room to college, so I can go get the crib once it is out!

I saw Greg’s new office yesterday!  It is SO NEAT!  I can’t wait for the power to be put out there and we can start decorating!  Well….  I really mean just a BIG picture of ME in there…. HAHAHAHAHAHA  just kidding.  not really

:)

This weekend is Angela’s birthday and we are going tubing in Helen, then to Japanese for dinner!  It should be a lot of fun!  I might even wear a two piece and let my tummy get some sun!

And we’re back!!

July 8, 2008

Does anyone want to move to Sandestin with me?  It was such a fun and relaxing vacation.  I REALLY did not want to leave.

Wednesday night Greg and I went and picked up Gina from her parents house and loaded up the golf cart.  We headed to Bass Pro Shops because we needed something for the trailer lights to work, and we went to Carrabbas carside for dinner.  On the road!  Greg drove until about 10 or so and I drove until about 1… or was it two?  I am not sure the time zone change always throws me off.  We spend the night in Destin and slept in a little.  We woke up, packed up and went to "Not Just Bagels" which was very slow and yes they only had bagels….??  Off to check in to Sandestin.  We had to wait a little while for Glen and Mary, they stayed in Panama City.  We got our house, which was AWESOME unpacked and made a grocery list while the boys unloaded the golf cart and stored the trailer.  We all met up at Publix, found out we can DRIVE the golfcart to Publix… haha the simple pleasures.  The boys took the food home and the girls went to Johnny Rockets to save them a seat.  They came back oo the golf cart….:)  Mary and I went shopping and Glen Greg and Gina went to the pool.  Mary and I went to the shops at Sandestin and got Glen some birthday presents.  We left and went to the outlet msll down the street.  They had a motherhood maternity and I got some REALLY cute clothes and a bathingsuit!  By the way…. I brought two left black flip flops….. gaaaaaah

We came back went to the pool for a little while then showered and changed (into new clothes!) to go to the Horne’s house.  Judy made some very good spaghetti and we visited with his family.  We went home pretty early and slept hard!

The boys woke up early to go play golf but Gina and I slept in.  Mary went for a long walk (good for her but I was sleeping….)  We woke up got ready for the beach and headed down about 9:00.  We rented chairs and umbrellas and parked it.  The rest of the afternoon was spent people watching and sun soaking.  Gina got sunburnt…. :(   I put on 30 SPF!  haha  I burnt the weekend before, didnt want to do that again.

We went home showered and went back to the beach to watch the fireworks.  They were so loud!  They were very pretty, but there was no music….:(  We went back up to Granny and Gene’s condo to eat cake.  Again, we left pretty early so we could go home and open Glen’s gifts.  Off to bed!

Saturday morning we woke up and Greg went to play golf again.  Glen and Mary went on a boat ride to Crab Island.  Gina dn I went to the beach for a little while then went up to Granny and Genes for a sandwich and to get pool passes.  Gene went to the store for more food and Granny told us stories about how her and Gene met, and it was really neat.  We went down the pool, grabbed a chair and got lucky enough to grab another one!  We sat out until about 3 and Gina went home.  Greg came down for a hile and he and Justin and I sat by the pool for another hour.  We went home, showered, changed and went to Hammerheads at the Wharf for dinner.  I ended up going to Robertos (Italian)  There was a store called Trader Toms that had a lot of neat beach stuff, so I got a shell night light for the babies room.  It is really cute!  We debated on whether or not to stay a little while on Sunday but we ended up packing the car up Saturday night.

We left Sunday morning about 7 and had a pretty long ride, there was a lot of rain in Atlanta.  We met up with Mom grabbed the dogs, dropped off the golf cart and headed home.  The rest of the day we rested and watched movies.  Of course I cleaned up and did laundry.  Thats about it!

I have a hair appointment today.  Should I go short?! :)   naahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
