the best things in life aren’t things

Mom told me yesterday that 5 servings of chocolate a week helps lower the risk of pre-eclampsia!!!  Yea I am on track then!  She just didn’t say what a SERVING was…..

YAY!!!!!!!!!!  Greg is graduating Saturday!  I AM SO PROUD OF HIM!!!!  Good job babe!  Now lets find a M-F 9-5 okay??

Last night was the first time I have woken up Greg to do something for me…   I needed something to eat about 4:00 AM and I thought a granola bar would be good.  I sent him back because he got the wrong KIND of granola bar.  He said he wasn’t mad, but he would be if I kept talking to him.  (haha)  I didn’t really feel bad though… it’s the least he could do!!

Desiree, Christy and I went to Tybee island this weekend for a "bachlorette vacation."  It was so much fun, the weather was so great!Sunday was Desiree’s birthday… so we went to The Breakfast Club in the morning and I passed out when I got up to go to the bathroom.  Luckily, someone caught me!  I didn’t really feel well for the rest of the day, and today I still feel a little weird.  I just need to snack a lot and keep my blood sugar up!

I can’t wait for May 11 to tell my family! 

Apparently, some people can!!  Glen told his mom and dad yesterday Greg and I were pregnant and they are very excited!  I also called a few of Greg’s aunts… they are so sweet!  I know they will be praying for me and I really appreciate it.

We are still waiting for Mother’s day to be here so I can tell the rest of my family.  It seems like an eternity away.  But honestly it’s worth it.  Where ever you are on May 11 you will hear my family squealing about 2:00 PM.  Just a little PSA announcement.  haha

What to have for lunch… that is the question…

So Friday was the big day. I got there early, and they weighed me (no comment) I am not wearing those boots again…

I met the nurse/midwife, she was great.  Long story short, I saw our baby!  It was…. well it was a white blob inside of a black blob surrounded by black and white dots.  HAHA  Just kidding it was very cool.  I saw the little hear beating!  If you can believe it I didn’t cry!  I think it was because the only thing I was thinking about was getting my blood drawn….

Sooooo I walked across the hallway to the Lab and went in… I told them "This is not going to be good."  I guess they didn’t believe me.  I didn’t look at all, I didn’t see the needle, OR the blood, but I know they took a lot out because I kept hearing him cap the lids…. maybe 6-7 vials?!!  Thank goodness there was a lap bar in front of me because I laid there and cried for a few minutes.  He gave me an orange juice and I still felt horrible.  "Wanna move to the recliner" he said.  "Sure…"  Well I think that’s what I said, the next thing I remember was about 12 nurses and a doctor in there running around.  I felt 90% better after I passed out though, but MAN that smelling salts stuff is N-A-S-T-Y!!

I called my mom as I was laying on the floor and she said…. "I did the same thing when I was pregnant with you."

Would have been nice to know….   Just kidding.  Sow now I have to have my blood drawn from the recliner.  Haha I was so embarressed you have no idea.  NO IDEA… THEN THEY WHELLED ME IN A WHEELCHAIR upstairs.  haha it was like a sitcom… really.  Only I wasn’t laughing then, only now.

Can’t wait for the next appointment.  NOT!

Hello all you invisible readers.  I say that because I still have not gone "public" with my little journal/blog.  That’s because I have not gone "public" with my pregnancy!  Hardly anyone knows and I almost slip ALL the time.  It is so funny.

We went to Mississippi last weekend for Desiree’s shower.  It was so fun!  It is pretty far though!  I definitely missed my dogs and Greg!!

I took a silly survey and it said I was a poodle.  Hahaha

Well folks my appointment is tomorrow!  I will definitely let you know how it goes!

I got my CD!  Yea!  And it is so good.  Man I wish I could sing like that.

ummm.. call me crazy but I think I am already showing.  I have had to unbotton my pants and tuck them under the past two days.  Joelle says she can see it in my face.  Could this be? 

Am I having twins?!!  Is this why I am so big?!!!!!!!!!

I will have to wait until April 18 to see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This waiting is HARD!

Boooooo on Walmart.  I set my alarm for 7:00 this morning.  Problem is I leave at 7:00.  Pregnancy brain??  So I was in a big hurry, but I still stopped at Wal Mart to get the new Leona Lewis CD.  They won’t have it for a few days.  WELL TARGET PROBABLY HAS IT!

So I am going to TARGET today.  They better have it.  I keep bleedin…. keep keep bleedin love……  I am telling you, I have said this for over a year, she will be bigger than Mariah Carey you watch.  (She is better!)

Well, the weekend is officially over.  It was a whirlwind, with Desiree’s bridal shower, and bachlorette dinner, and cleaning up the house after the hardwoods were laid.

The floors by the way look awesome when I learn to post pictures I will.

We told out friends our news!  I told the girls and Greg told the guys.  The girls were shrieking…. literally.  And there were a few tears… (Desiree!)

Nothing else to report.  If you know me, you know how organized I am and I have started a notebook!  Don’t laugh but I am already researching baby items!
